J.Dauphin
The Swedish / French born designer Johanna Dauphin grew up surrounded by fashion and creativity in a family with painters, designers and artists. Her grandfather was the Swedish fashion icon, Eric Skoglund, founder to more than ten luxury fashion stores and famous for bringing the Italian fashion to Sweden. And both her mother and her grandfather in Paris are painters. Already at the age of six she followed her father and grandfather to Milan and Paris to see fashion shows. The family decided to leave the family business in 1990 and since that time she has been convinced to one day take back the family tradition which dates back until the 19th century.
After graduating a master degree in marketing at the Stockholm University Business School and a degree in fashion design at IED, Istituto Europeo di Design in Rome, Italy, she began her career at the Italian fashion group Tod's. There after she moved to her family in Paris to work as a freelance designer. Later her destiny took her back to Italy where she is offered a position for the LVMH group's star brand FENDI.
J Dauphin showed for the first time in Paris in 2006. The search for quality through a combination of artwork and traditional craftsmanship is evident in all her collections.
“For me the philosophy of essentiality is a concept of life where I found my inspiration, it’s the way through faith and devotion, searching the ultimate perfection in harmony with the nature.”
