Odd Molly and Twilight’s New Moon

Posted November 12th, 2009 by holly@huset 1 Comment »

Is this a wonderful mix or what? Odd Molly clothes and the cast of Twilight (the much anticipated sequel New Moon is due to be released one week from tomorrow, Nov. 20th)! So many have been bitten by the Twilight frenzy, so Self Magazine asked three of the film’s favorite undead hotties to show off the coziest and coolest looks for fall. Check out the November issue of SELF, on sale now, for the whole story. But first, take a peep at Self’s gorgeous photoshoot showing autumn knits, the Cullens and Victoria. ?You will see Rachelle La Fevre (Victoria) wearing the Odd Molly #823 Alpaca poncho chalk and Odd Molly’s #57 A-one silk short dress.

copenhagen-stamps
Finally the second installment of our trip to Scandinavia for Spring / Summer 2010. This city is one of my favorites. The people are gorgeous and so fun to look at. Everyone travels by bicycles, even the wonderful girls in their heels!

Below is our video of the trip; touring, fashion shows, DAY Birger et Mikkelsen, By Malene Birger, Hunkydory and Odd Molly. Plus there is a little peek at the kids show too. Until the next shows….enjoy!

Urban Bicycle Helmets

Thanks to Danish company Yakkay you can now protect yourself while riding your bicycle and still be fashionable. The Yakkay urban bicycle helmets is a great combination of security and aesthetics. So far they are strangely enough more or less one of its kind. It’s brainwear for smart people – the use of a helmet decreases the possibility for head injury if you crash with fifty percent.

It works like this:

1. Start to find a helmet that fits your head. The helmets have special protection pads inside.

2. The choose the cover of your taste.

Yakkay are constantly developing new covers in different designs and colours. Why not by a couple of different ones so you can…

Helena Christensen, Undercover: Model Takes On Linen Line for Odd Molly

Posted June 23rd, 2009 by holly@huset No Comments »

oddmollyad

When WWD caught up with model and photographer Helena Christensen, who continues to age like fine wine, she had more to share than her opinions on the continuing Alexandra Shulman vs. Skinny Bitches imbroglio. On top of casting a vote for “all kinds of shapes and silhouettes,” Christensen revealed that she is working on a linens line for Swedish clothing brand Odd Molly (for which she also models, right). The line will funnel proceeds to the Chernobyl Children’s Project International (because when you think thread counts, nuclear disasters usually come next). Says Christensen, who’s a bit of a shutterbug, “For one bed cover, I wanted to use a huge image that looked like a [photo] that had been torn…

Summer Nudes

We are mad for neutrals. But not those boring neutrals that make you yearn for wild pops of Summer color, rather those kind of soothing hues in ivories, creams, pale denim blues and tans that relax and soothe you like a long, tall glass of icy lemonade on a hot day. Plus how wonderful they look laid against a bronzed body.

Swedish Hasbeens : Always green eco-production, of course.

Reusable bag by Claesson Koivisto Rune

Plastic bags are made from fossil-based petrochemicals. And then they’re thrown away. At best, in to the trash, but for some reason also in to the oceans. This leads to the death of tens of thousands of seabirds every year. But the obvious solution is not spelled Paper Bag, as one might believe. Just the higher weight of the paper bag alone leads to seven (7) times the fuel consumption (of fossil-based petrochemicals) in transport when compared to the plastic bag. Best of all is to use some sort of reusable bag when shopping.

The simple idea from the design and architect trio Claesson Koivisto Rune is to combine. The design of…

doctorswithhasbeens

This is where we plan to go when we get ill. Turns out the doctors of Carema Care Gullmarsplan, a really cool hospital in Stockholm, got tired of their old hospital shoes and decided to match their yellow retro furniture with Yellow Covered High. What’s the next industry? Any politicians or bank employees feeling hot? Give us a call!

Works by Sanna Annukka

Posted May 5th, 2009 by holly@huset No Comments »

Sanna Anukka is one of my favorite illustrators. Her iconographic imagery is beautiful and creative, with sky-high design sensibility. Tapping into elements of folklore and fairy tales, Sanna Annukka has really carved out a unique, patented style that is all her own, and each new piece as stunning and marvelous as the last.

Sanna Annukka is a young and talented British born illustrator, whose designs have been making waves in the design world. With a mother from Finland and a father from the UK, Annukka spent much of her childhood split in both countries. Heavily influenced by Finnish folklore, specifically the national epic, The Kalevala, many of Annukka’s prints depict different scenes from The…
