Hotel du Nord in Bornholm

I guess my mind is on hotels this week. I’m heading to Stockholm tomorrow to view Odd Molly’s world premier of their Spring / Summer 2010 collection on Saturday night – (Make sure to watch, either at their site or on ours after the show).

I’ve been dreaming of spending a summer week at a lovely hotel in Scandinavia, and Hotel du Nord in Bornholm, a small Danish island just south east of Sweden’s southern coast would fit the bill nicely. The hotel looks so totally relaxed and cozy! It’s built in an old print factory, with a view over the ocean, and they serve communal dinners at a long table for 20 persons. Plus the whole place is extremely child friendly with boxes of dress up clothing, toys and paper and crayons at the table! Doesn’t it sound like the perfect vacation for any parent with two wild kids?

If you want to you can rent the whole house for a very reasonable price, and celebrate your birthday, wedding or just the fact that life is sometimes great, with a barbecue in the garden or catering from the hotel.
