Kähler is a brand of Nordic tradition that began in a small workshop in Næstved more than 175 years ago. Gaining much appreciation at the 1889 World Exhibition in Paris, the Kähler workshop became a meeting place for great Danish artists such as Thorvald Bindesbøll, Svend Hammerchøi and Kai Neilson. The legendary workshop began in 1839, but it wasn’t until the owner’s son, Herman A. Kähler, took over the shop in 1875 that the workshop became a well-known producer of ceramic art pieces. With nearly 200 years of ceramic mastery, the company still produces objects of the highest quality and commitment to Nordic traditions.
