Skandinavisk The Escapes Collection
This inspired Skandinavisk to create a new fragrance collection, a narrow range of three unique fragrances, each intended to leave a lasting impression of Nordic peace and tranquillity.
The scents are captured inside an entirely new interpretation of their visual design, utilizing new materials, yet still telling the story of Scandinavians’ unique approach to life through the medium of fragrance and flame.
Details
LYSNING (Forest Glade): a blend of mosses & lichens, pine needles & cloudberry.
Lysning tells the story of silent clearing, shadow oasis, serenity for the mind. The dense boreal forest canopy occasionally reveals glades and clearings, hidden escapes where the sunlight touches the ground and the flora responds in abundance.
HEIA (Heathland): a blend of heather & thyme, bearberry & leaf sap.
Heia tells the story of a remote wilderness, primeval terrain, nourishment for the soul. The rough, exposed terrain in the higher altitude fells of Norway and Sweden offers a colorful home to hardy shrubs, wild herbs and berries, and fragrant hills of heather.
ROSENHAVE (Rose Garden): a blend of alba rose & elderflower, blackcurrant buds & lily of the valley.
Rosenhave tells the story of sheltered haven, nature’s bounty, romance for the heart. Nordic rose gardens are precious places, exposed to the raw climate only the hardiest varieties, and most careful owners, can expect their fragile fragrance blushes to survive and prosper after the long, frozen winters.
Made from a blend of perfume and a rapeseed wax blend with a 100% cotton wick and engraved oak lid. Poured inside a ceramic vase, it will burn for up to 65 hours.

About The Designer

The essence of the Scandinavian way of life is found in life’s small moments; the cycle ride to work, the joy of endless summer days, the raw nature and the priority of family over career.
“And we believe the absolute essence of Scandinavian lifestyle is right here - in the colour, scent, light and warmth of a flickering candle flame and a glow that not only burrows deep through the wax, but one which nourishes the soul too.” After all, Scandinavians use more candles than any other nation in the world. They use them morning, noon and night, twelve months a year. Because they know that a candle makes any moment softer, more informal, and a bit cozier.
