Each candle's scent is described below:

Nat, or 'Night' in both Danish and Norwegian, is the scent of a midsummer night in the gardens of Scandinavia. Reminiscent of fir trees and honeysuckle mist over still lakes.

Peace, calm and tranquility from the kingdoms of Norway, Sweden and Denmark. The delicately scented candle of Ro infuses the room with gentle notes of fresh cut grass, ripening fruit orchards and hidden blankets in the dunes.

Hygge is Danish DNA, a reflection of the Scandinavian art of creating intimacy, fellowship and coziness in the smallest everyday moments. This gently-scented candle reflects the coziness of Danish living with notes of brewed tea and baked strawberry cake.

Koto - the traditional Finnish word for home. A cozy refuge from the long dark winters, a seductress of scarce natural light, and intimate space to refresh the soul. The KOTO scented candle is a collaboration from Skandinavisk and Design Bloggers United and promises delicate notes of Baltic amber, exotic jasmine, mandarin orange and vanilla.

The coastline of Scandinavia is among the longest in the world and is surrounded by the cold waters of the North Atlantic, the Baltic and the Arctic. The Hav scented candle reflects the freshness of the Scandinavian seas with notes of water fauna and cool air.

Kobenhavn (Copenhagen) is Denmark’s capital, and Scandinavisk has captured it’s essence in the form of scents such as smoky tea, irises, berries and even bicycle oil.

The forests of Scandinavia cover half the landscape and stretch unbroken from Skane in Southern Sweden, through Norway and Finland, to the polar circle. The Skog scented candle reflects the calmness of the Scandinavian forests with notes of various woods including pine and fir, aged leather and woodland lily of the valley.

Oy, or ‘Island’, represents the expanse of uninhabited islands that stretch the Scandinavian coastline. This scent captures these countless islands through notes of driftwood, rose, white flowers and green leaves.

Lempi, a Finnish word for Love, is a romantic blend of rose, strawberry, garden peony and oak moss.

The Fjord scent is inspired by the Norwegian fjords – with their many waterfalls, endless forest, and dramatic landscapes. Fjord is reminiscent of ripened orchards with notes of wild berries, black current, and a variety of woods.

Nordlys is Norwegian for "Northern Light". Magical, elusive and indefinable, this candle is an ode to one of the world's seven wonders, combining fragrances of sun flares, ocean fires and glacial florescence.

Lykke, Danish for ‘happiness’. Renowned as the world’s happiest nation, the secret to Danish happiness is in life balance and treasuring the everyday. An optimistic moment of spring snowdrops, lemon-nettle and apple-mint.

Rosenhave, Danish for ‘rose garden’. Nordic rose gardens are precious places. Only the hardiest varieties, and most careful owners, can expect their fragile fragrance blushes to survive and prosper after the long, frozen winters.

About The Designer

Skandinavisk

The essence of the Scandinavian way of life is found in life’s small moments; the cycle ride to work, the joy of endless summer days, the raw nature and the priority of family over career.

“And we believe the absolute essence of Scandinavian lifestyle is right here - in the colour, scent, light and warmth of a flickering candle flame and a glow that not only burrows deep through the wax, but one which nourishes the soul too.” After all, Scandinavians use more candles than any other nation in the world. They use them morning, noon and night, twelve months a year. Because they know that a candle makes any moment softer, more informal, and a bit cozier.
