About The Designer

What began as a small gallery of furniture shown as objects of fine art is now one of the most sought after producers of modern Scandinavian design. The philosophy behind the Asplund brand is to continually create clean, elegant lines that never go out of fashion, in the form of products that will stand the test of time in both design and function.

Their ‘friendly minimalism’ approach has proven to the world that Swedish minimalism can just as easily be warm and elegant. Working to produce products of the highest quality, the brand challenges consumerism with products built to age beautifully and to be passed on through many generations. To meet this standard of quality, as well as both ethical and environmentally friendly production, Asplund furniture is produced in Sweden. Asplund collaborates with and produces work by cutting edge designers, such as Claesson Koivisto Rune, Thomas Eriksson, Thomas Sandell, Ola Wihlborg, and Stina Sandwall.

“Small details are more important in simple minimalist design, because you see every line. Unless every inch is perfect, it is not good enough.” – Sandra Adrian Asplund, Creative Director
