The About series is HAY’s most versatile furniture series. It began with a chair and blossomed into a series with virtually unlimited potential. With the About series, Hee Welling has proven that a single strong idea can hold a wealth of development options.

The idea behind the About A Chair-collection has been to develop a chair with conspicuous simplicity. A chair which works just as well around the dining table as around a conference table, in a canteen or at the office. The ambition of designer Hee Welling has been to combine form, function, comfort, detail and aesthetics. About A Barstool AAS38, is beautiful and comfortable, with its minimalistic look and functionality allows it to fit in many places - both home and office. Designer Hee Wellings' motivation was to combine form, function, comfort, features and aesthetics, where shell and frame can be combined in various ways, without compromising its quality.

About The Designer

HAY
Bridging the gap between architecture and fashion, Rolf Hay launched his namesake company at IMM Cologne in 2003 with the goal of bringing Danish design back to the innovative greatness of the 1950s and 60s in a contemporary context. Since then, they’ve accrued numerous awards for their work and have collaborated with established designers like Scholten & Baijings and Sebastian Wrong. Hay is committed to nurturing and promoting the originality of young talents as well as “exploring the twisted minds of established designers.”
