In a warm meeting between Nordic sensuality and Japanese minimalism, Georg Stool strikes a solitary pose. Georg’s DNA is characterized by its slender wooden poles and rounded edges – crafted from light FSC-certified Oak. A braided leather strap keeps the soft, woolen cushion in place on the seat, fulfilling the material encounter of textile, skin and wood.

Natural oak with dark grey upholstery and black leather strap.

Black painted oak with light grey upholstery and natural leather strap.

W: 17.7" x D: 12.5" x H: 18.1" / Seat H: 17.7"

Special order item, please allow 4-6 weeks delivery from time of purchase.

The stool is made of oak, a sturdy and hardwearing type of wood containing natural tannings that will protect against bacterial growth. Combined with its light, elegant color and well-defined grains, this makes oak wood safe choice for high-quality interior.

The cushion upholstery is made of multi-colored fabric woven in an attractively strong woolen yarn – 93% wools of New Zealand, 7% polyamide. It has superb abrasion qualities made for everyday use, and is further more naturally dirt resistant. It is both Oeko-Tex and EU Ecolabel certified and 100% free of heavy metals.

The cushion itself is Fibre Wadding, made of carded thin polyester fibers that contain air in between the fibers. The entrapped air creates the ability to insulate and to provide a soft comfort feeling in the cushion.

Design by Chris Liljenberg Halstrøm. With a Swedish mother and Danish father, Chris shows her Nordic roots in her designs through a minimalistic approach and strong combinations of materials like wood, leather and wool. Function is her starting point and dictates the idiom of her beautiful designs. Chris is a curious and investigative woman. And it is in the investigation that she finds her biggest inspiration – an investigation of all possible angles of a design that draws her and broadens her perspective on the design process. Besides this, she is deeply fascinated by traditional Japanese architecture and design which focuses on the core function of the design.
