Skandinavisk Large Scented Candle
Skandinavisk's scented candles are wonderful scents that will fill your home with lovely smells of Scandinavia.
Each candle is described below:
Ro - Peace, calm and tranquility from the kingdoms of Norway, Sweden and Denmark. The delicately scented candle of Ro infuses the room with gentle notes of fresh cut grass, ripening fruit orchards and hidden blankets in the dunes.
Hygge is in the Danish DNA, a reflection of the Scandinavian art of creating intimacy, fellowship and coziness in the smallest everyday moments. This gently-scented candle reflects the coziness of Danish living with notes of brewed tea and baked strawberry cake.
Skog is the Norwegian and Swedish word for forest. Boreal forests cover half of Scandinavia making it a central part of Scandinavian life. Pine and fir trees blend with aged leather and woodland lily of the valley to encompass the scent of Skog.
Hav - The coastline of Scandinavia is among the longest in the world and is surrounded by the cold waters of the North Atlantic, the Baltic and the Arctic. The Hav scented candle reflects the freshness of the Scandinavian seas with notes of water fauna and cool air.
Koto - the traditional Finnish word for home. A cozy refuge from the long dark winters, a seductress of scarce natural light, and intimate space to refresh the soul. The KOTO scented candle is a collaboration from Skandinavisk and Design Bloggers United and promises delicate notes of Baltic amber, exotic jasmine, mandarin orange and vanilla.
Each of these larger candles are made from 600gr mix of perfume, natural and mineral wax and 4 wicks of 100% cotton, then poured into hand blown glass. Each candle burns for 75 hours.
About The Designer
The essence of the Scandinavian way of life is found in life’s small moments; the cycle ride to work, the joy of endless summer days, the raw nature and the priority of family over career.
“And we believe the absolute essence of Scandinavian lifestyle is right here - in the colour, scent, light and warmth of a flickering candle flame and a glow that not only burrows deep through the wax, but one which nourishes the soul too.” After all, Scandinavians use more candles than any other nation in the world. They use them morning, noon and night, twelve months a year. Because they know that a candle makes any moment softer, more informal, and a bit cozier.
