Moominmamma's Marigold Balm

A softening and nourishing ointment with calendula, historically used for various skin conditions. Made from beeswax from bees that have flown over the Swedish flora. Together with cold-pressed rapeseed oil, sunflower oil, shea butter, and a faint scent of calming lavender, you have something really good for dry and irritated skin on hands, cheeks, and wherever needed. The calendula ointment also enhances the skin's protective barrier and resilience, which helps reduce redness and strengthens sensitive skin.

The calendula ointment comes in a durable and more environmentally friendly cardboard packaging with a beautiful design featuring Moomin motifs by Moominmamma. Each ointment is handcrafted with care on Gotland by a small family business with a passion for sustainability.

About the brand 

In 2018, Gustaf had a high performing job in the big city and like so many others he got burnt out. He wanted to do something more meaningful for both himself and nature which drew him into a fascination of bees and their incredible societies. He quit his job in the city, ordered 100 bee colonies and moved to the magical island Gotland on the east coast of Sweden.

Linnea had just finished her master in finance and longed for the simple country life. Gustaf and Linnea met for the first time on Gotland and together they started the company Gustaf & Linnea where they developed lip balms in paper tubes with the finest bees wax. All their products are designed with some of the bees favorite flowers in beautiful colors and contrasts.

Today, Gustaf and Linnea have 17 organic products and have proven that sustainable products don’t have to be either less or boring. With over 200 retailers in Sweden, they have just launched their lip balms in English. When Gustaf is asked why their products are so popular? He replies: “I think people really can tell we do something we really love, and that it shows in our products”. That, and that people seem to like a good love story.
