"Hemslöjd" is Swedish for handicraft. The company Skandinavisk Hemslöjd was
founded in 1995 by Anna Linderholm and Ulla Persson. Their vision was initially to promote hand-painted and customized wood products and textiles. As they grew, they started collaborating with artisans throughout the Nordic countries. They make beautiful classic home decor and kitchen items hand crafted in Sweden made with Juniper wood and hand-painted wooden products, textiles, gift items, etc.
This is one of our favorite brands because they fit naturally into any home and have some of the best Holiday decor, including Tomtes and cheese knives with Swedish motifs stamped into the metal.
